1. Domestic work
There are many ways to do it in water, the simplest is using alum or filtering with a clean cloth.

Make clear with alum: Use alum with a dose of 1g alum (one piece is about half a knuckle) for 20 liters of water. Scoop a ladle of water, mix the amount of alum equal to the volume of water to be made clear, put it in the water container and stir well, wait for about 30 minutes for the sediment to settle to the bottom, then decant the clear water.
If there is no alum, you can use a clean cloth to filter the water, keep the dirt, do it a few times until the water is clear (note the cotton filter cloth to filter the water through, need to change the cloth when you see it). much residue on the filter cloth).
Note: In case the surface water is too turbid or too much silt, it is necessary to filter out the silt with layers of curtain cloth before doing it in the water.

2. Water disinfection
After the water has been purified, it is necessary to disinfect the water. Water can be disinfected with chemicals or by boiling.

See the article 5 best water disinfection methods you should try .

a) Chemical disinfection of water
For households: Usually disinfect water with Chloramin B. Chloramin B is packaged in tablets with different concentrations. Currently, the most popular is Chloramin B 0.25g or Aquatabs 67mg tablets, which are very convenient for disinfecting small volumes of water such as jars, jars, jars, buckets, pots or small water tanks. One Chloramin B 0.25g tablet can disinfect 25 liters of water, one Aquatabs 67mg tablet can disinfect 20 liters of clear water.

For water supply for collective or many households to use: Disinfection with powdered chemicals (usually Chloramine B type 27% active chlorine, Lime chloride) and must be directed by medical staff. presently.

How to disinfect:

Chloramine B 0.25g tablet: Put 1 0.25g Chloramine B tablet in a 25 liter container of clear water, stir well, cover, wait 30 minutes to be used as drinking water.
Aquatab 67mg tablet: Put 1 Aquatabs 67mg tablet in a container of 20 liters of clear water, stir well, cover with lid and wait 30 minutes to be used.

Powder chemical disinfection: Often used to disinfect large amounts of feed water. The amount of powder to be used is calculated on the basis of the required concentration of 10mg of active Chloramine per liter of water. For Chloramine B 27% powder, to disinfect about 300 liters of water, proceed as follows: Dissolve 3g of Chloramine B 27% powder (equivalent to 1/3 tablespoon) in a bucket of water and home water purifier in bd then pour into a tank or container 300 liter of water has been made clear, mix well, cover and wait for 30 minutes to be used.

The water that has been disinfected can be used for domestic purposes. However, this water still has to be boiled before drinking directly.
Do not conduct disinfection at the same time as alum because alum loses the disinfecting effect of chlorine.
After disinfecting, smelling the chlorine smell, the disinfection will take effect.
If you add too much chlorine, open the lid, wait for another half hour or an hour to reduce the strong smell.
b) Boil water
Only use water to drink directly after it has been boiled.
Boiled water should not be left for too long, so you should boil fresh water every day to drink.
In the absence of chemical disinfectants, only eat and drink thoroughly boiled water, do not eat raw vegetables washed with unsterilized water.
c) Using water purification equipment , water treatment system
In addition to the above household water treatment measures, we can use more filtering equipment to treat water. The water filtration efficiency of the device depends on the quality of the input water, the filter technology, the condition and quality of the filter device, the time of use, etc.

Water filtration systems
Household water treatment with water purifiers, water purifiers
Currently, there are many types of water purification equipment of many brands with different types of technology to help simplify household water treatment. It is recommended to use equipment that has been tested and licensed by the authorities, and at the same time, follow the manufacturer's instructions for use to ensure effective water filtration.

Note: The input water of the water purification equipment must be purified water, do not use surface water directly from ponds, rivers, streams, canals, etc. to avoid clogging the filter device.
